We never know what twists and turns are going to occur in our lives. I met my best friend when were freshmen in high school. We went through the traumas and dramas of high school. We roomed together through college and were the maid of honor in each other’s weddings. Through the years we have watched each other’s children grow up and I held her hand while her husband lost his battle with cancer.

After several years of being a widow she has found a new partner. He has never been married before and is excited about becoming part of her family. She had a strong and wonderful first marriage and I am sure she will be able to crate a new life with her new partner. Her children are happy for her and are accepting of the new love in her life, which is very comforting to her.
